The tiger fish, considered by many to be one of the finest game fish around have flourished in the rich waters of the lake. The largest average weight caught in competition is over 10kgs , but the speed, courage and strength of the tigerfish make it a worthy opponent for the skilful angler.
Lake Kariba is the tiger fising mecca and the only venue where you will bag the big ones.
Bream (Tilapia) are also plentyful in the lake and also make for good angling and eating.
Australian Yabbies (Crayfish) can now also be caught in the lake.
